Hogan-Pancost area flooding, 1969
The Hogan/Pancost concept plan will be presented to the City of Boulder Planning Board this Thursday, January 19th, at 6pm at the Municipal Building (Broadway and Canyon). The current concept plan calls for 122 homes on 20 acres of wetland meadow and agricultural land in southeast Boulder. This review is the first step towards future annexation of this property.
Members of the Southeast Boulder Neighborhoods Association (SEBNA) have organized a number of informative and hopefully interesting presentations describing the impacts that this development brings to the City of Boulder. This isn’t just a local neighborhood issue though. The Hogan/Pancost property is the last major parcel of undeveloped land in Area II of the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan. The annexation and development of this property brings with it many serious issues regarding groundwater impacts, floodplain development, traffic, sprawl and serious environmental impacts.
