About the author:
Teresa Foster is a graduate of the Naropa MA Environmental Leadership program (2009). This unique curriculum prepares leaders to be the catalysts of transformational change in organizations and communities. It offers its students learning opportunities to think outside-the-box (using methods such as Otto Scharmer's "Theory U" [MIT, The Presencing Institute]). Systems Theory is an integral part of Naropa's approach - the key to understanding our non-linear universe.
Teresa has invested countless hours volunteering for environmental nonprofits such as Clean Energy Action, the Transition movement, 350.org, and more. Her work at the Governor's Energy Office helped develop strategies for the State of Colorado's mandated Greening Government initiative in 2009. She documented the entirety of communication deliverables for the 2007 Solar Decathlon while a graduate intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Her work was used "constantly" as a template for the 2009 Solar Decathlon communications effort. She currently is the point person for the Community Bill of Rights effort in Longmont to ban fracking.
Teresa's diverse background includes environmental outreach and education, project management, research and marketing/graphic design (and more). She is a consummate networker and proven organizer.
